@machicniii
Tibetans in Tibet would never say anything against the Chinese in front of a camera. I’ve been there and spoken to them. It’s not propaganda.
Great videos folk!!! Although it does not cover whole Nepal, it seems good. FYI, Nepal is now a peaceful country as Maoists have already given up their arms. So, Nepal welcomes tourists from all over the world. We are happy to greet visitors who are fond of experiencing life long thrills of Himalayas and breath taking natural scenery,+ rich cultures. Nepal ranges from 60 meters above sea level to 8,848 meters and all within 150 km making it rich in biodiversity…..cheers….Jai <3 Nepal <3
every time palin tried to get something negative out of the tibetians about the chinese, he got the opposite response. it is clear that many tibetians do not feel the same way the west do about china. all that propaganda crap you see on the media is proven wrong. the chinese have helped them a lot. if palin wants to talk about the tibetian culture being taken away, think about the native americans in the US.
cheeky yak at 29:55 haha
good work pallin
haha, Palin bought ‘Himalayan viagra’!
@Microglia1 no, the tibetan guy didn’t just makeup the price of the necklace to put off Michael Palin from purchasing it…..those traditional necklaces are genuinely very expensive. i know because my tibetan friend’s mother owns quite a few traditional necklaces and the price for them goes into thousands of dollars.
I love that guy with the $3000US necklace…I think it’s just his way of saying to the Westerner “not for sale”. When I was in Botswana, some white tourist come up to me and asked for my drums…I said 1 Million Euros.
When this presenter swims in the hot springs, he completely forget about “Chinese communism”. Haha. BBC reeks of hypocrisy.
Wow…the city is now much more developed. This is a great development…I personally don’t like communists but more business, running water, or whatever, any development is a good thing, for the lowest people of Tibetian society.
@ruzickaw not doing any better for the tibetians>Rather alienating them from the world>
Tibetans wasting their time with religion, but Chinese doing something for the benefit of the people.
thanks nice to se a fresher side of Tibet; Am wondering about the poverty and of course Yushu where earthquake occured.
